Company also bolsters operational and public policy expertise by expanding existing leadership team
SAN FRANCISCO – Glass Lewis, the leading independent provider of global governance and support services, announces the resignation of CEO Katherine Rabin. During her 12 years as CEO, Ms. Rabin successfully led the company’s global expansion, which now employs approximately 400 employees and services more than 1,300 institutional clients across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
“My 16 years at Glass Lewis have been a remarkable, rewarding experience,” said KT Rabin. “While I will greatly miss working with the phenomenal Glass Lewis team, I look forward to continuing to help companies create value for shareholders, both in and outside the boardroom.”
Kevin Cameron has been appointed to the role of Executive Chair, and will assume responsibility for managing the company’s executive team. A co-founder of Glass Lewis and corporate governance expert, Mr. Cameron returns to the company where he served as President until 2007. Mr. Cameron has served on several public company boards in both the United States and Canada, as well as Glass Lewis’ Research Advisory Council for the past 12 years.
“It is very exciting to be back at Glass Lewis. I am very proud of the company and the important role it serves in the capital markets. I look forward to working with our clients and the rest of the talented Glass Lewis team as we embark on our next phase of growth,” said Mr. Cameron.
In addition to Mr. Cameron’s return, Glass Lewis is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Busch as President. Ms. Busch is also a Glass Lewis veteran, having run the company’s research department for several years after its founding. Following her tenure at Glass Lewis, Ms. Busch has spent the past 13 years serving as an operational and financial leader of private companies within the technology, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries.
Also joining as Special Counsel for Public Policy is Gordon Seymour. Mr. Seymour is a securities and corporate governance lawyer with 25 years of experience in both private practice and government. He most recently served as General Counsel of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
Ms. Rabin will continue to stay involved with Glass Lewis, joining the company’s Research Advisory Council. “We thank KT deeply for her 16 years at Glass Lewis,” added Mr. Cameron. “Her devotion to the advancement of best governance practices is a foundational piece of this company’s success, and an inspiration to the team she built.”
