Glass Lewis has submitted its response to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's consultation on enhancements to the Corporate Governance Code and Listing Rules. Key proposals relate to:
- Board effectiveness improvements;
- Strengthening board independence;
- Promoting diversity;
- Enhancing risk management and internal controls; and
- Better capital management.
Changes resulting from the consultation are expected to be implemented for financial years commencing on or after 1 January 2025, with certain proposals subject to a 3-year transition period.
