The main responsibilities of a GLASS LEWIS: RESEARCH ANALYST (SUPERVISOR) include:
- Write and edit research reports by reviewing publicly available information as disclosed by public companies, verifying data and issuing recommendations based on Glass Lewis policies.
- Analyze and make voting recommendations for governance and/or compensation related proposals in Europe, Latin America and Canada.
- Demonstrate firm competency in Glass Lewis governance policy; deviate from Glass Lewis policy and provide cogent explanations when necessary
- Assist in mentoring seasonal research associates, providing feedback and assistance in the writing and editing of research reports.
- Helps to improve training program for research associates
- Contributes to policy and guidelines update processes, and contributes to annual content projects on an as-needed basis
- Helps identify and implement possible changes to research tools on an ongoing basis
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Mentor senior research associates,providing feedback and assistance in writing and editing of research reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Qualifications should include required and other experience or qualifications
- BA/BS degree required
- At least one year (two or more preferred) of experience in an active corporate governance research role.
- At least 1 year of experience of supervising research associates.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Sharepoint. Basic understanding of HTML highly desired.
- Willingness to learn applications used to communicate with other teams (JIRA, Slack, Outlook, MS Teams etc.).
- Strong time-management, problem solving and people skills.
- Ability to work effectively and independently.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or teaching is highly desired.
It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:
- Highly desirable but not essential language skills in the following: Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Dutch, Nordic Languages
