Program expands to cover companies in North American, European markets.
SAN FRANCISCO, LIMERICK (January 5, 2016) – Glass Lewis today announced the opening of enrollment for its 2016 Issuer Data Report (IDR) program, a service that enables public companies to access, for free, a data-only version of the Glass Lewis Proxy Paper report prior to Glass Lewis completing its analysis and recommendations relating to the annual general meeting of the subject companies.
IDRs feature key data points used in Glass Lewis’ corporate governance analysis, such as information on directors, auditors and their fees, summary compensation data and equity plans, among others. The IDR is not intended as a preview of the final Glass Lewis analysis – no voting recommendations are included.
Participating issuers receive their IDR approximately three weeks prior to their shareholder meeting and generally have 48 hours to review the IDR for accuracy and provide corrections, including supporting public documents, to Glass Lewis. (The IDR program provides a preview of data used to develop Glass Lewis Proxy Papers on annual general meetings only. It does not provide a preview of data contained in special meeting reports or reports being developed based on policies other than the Glass Lewis house policy.)
Inaugurated in 2015 for the U.S. market, the IDR service in 2016 will cover 800 companies in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. Participation is limited to a specified number of issuers in each market and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Starting January 5, 2016, support for the IDR service will be provided by Meetyl, a subsidiary of Glass Lewis that facilitates direct engagement between corporate issuers and institutional investors through its private, secure network. Logging in to the Meetyl platform is not required to enroll or participate in the Glass Lewis IDR service.
