We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented L1 helpdesk Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our Windows-based systems users. Key Responsibilities:
- End user support across a wide range of Microsoft tools and applications
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and Laptops.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect systems and data.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and execute projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field or equivalent practical experience .
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Windows environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and methodologies.
