INVITATION: 2013 Remuneration Forums Sponsored by Guerdon Associates and CGI Glass Lewis

As sponsors of their annual Remuneration Forums, Guerdon Associates and CGI Glass Lewis are delighted to invite you to an afternoon Remuneration Forum in Melbourne on 4 March and a morning Remuneration Forum in Perth on 11 March. The Forums, now in their seventh year, focus on boardroom remuneration issues and are open, by invitation, to institutional investors, board directors, regulators and listed company executives.

The Forums will begin with a keynote address from the Hon. Mr. Bernie Ripoll, MP, and a review of the 2012 Australian AGM season based on CGI Glass Lewis’ research.

The Hon. Mr. Bernie Ripoll, MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, responsible for the development and implementation of policies in relation to corporate governance and financial literacy, will address the Forums on the Government’s proposed executive pay legislation, with a particular focus on clawback and the response to CAMAC’s recommendations regarding executive remuneration. He will take questions.

In Melbourne, the first main panel session will then address stakeholder concerns with incentive payments, and recent activism against “unjustified” short-term incentives. The second main panel session will address realistic turnaround times to effect changes to executive pay policies after a big “no” vote, and investor responsiveness to promised rather than realised change.

In Perth, the first main panel session will address stakeholder concerns and depth of understanding in regard to resource companies’ approaches to executive pay. The second main panel session will address better methods of stakeholder and company engagement.

Both main sessions in both locations will include panel discussions with ample time for Q&A. As usual, and to facilitate frank and open debate, the Chatham House Rule will apply.
