Global Governance and Engagement-Support Firm Further Expands in Europe

LONDON (17 July 2017) – Glass Lewis, the leading independent provider of global governance and engagement-support services, today announced the opening of a London office dedicated to supporting UK sales, client service, and engagement efforts for both Glass Lewis and its Meetyl subsidiary.  The new office is located at 80 Coleman Street, in the City of London.

Glass Lewis’ global network now comprises seven offices. In addition to London, European locations include the European Centre in Limerick, Ireland, which is also the largest location globally, as well as the office in Karlsruhe, Germany, which was added in 2015 with the acquisition of leading German proxy advisor IVOX. U.S. locations include the global headquarters in San Francisco, as well as offices in New York and Washington, D.C.  The firm’s CGI Glass Lewis subsidiary operates in Sydney, Australia, and represents Glass Lewis’ Asia-Pacific research and service hub.

“Since opening our Limerick office six years ago, we have prioritized building a robust European operation dedicated to serving clients in the region, as well as supporting the stewardship activities of institutional investors globally,” said Glass Lewis CEO Katherine Rabin. “Our newest location represents our commitment to serving the UK market and engaging directly with its investment and corporate communities.”

Building on the success of Glass Lewis’ previous European expansion, the new London office will play a key role in extending the connection with UK market participants. Not only has Glass Lewis’ and Meetyl’s investor client base ramped markedly in recent years, but Glass Lewis’ research team now engages directly with more than 150 UK issuers annually and expects that activity to increase substantially.

“The importance of this market cannot be overstated,” continued Ms. Rabin. “The impact of the leaders in the United Kingdom is felt globally, and we are excited to support them in their efforts.”
